I have used this product for years and highly recommend it. It has natural antibiotic properties, and while it should not be used to treat a serious infection I find it works very well to soothe razor burn, or other small skin problems. I like to mix mine with a little Jojoba and rose oil for a milder effect except when I am sick. Then I rub straight lavender into my neck and arm pit area (where you have the highest concentration of lymph nodes concentrating your immune defences ) to help me fight off the cold and open my lungs (lavender is also a mild anti-spasmodic and so helps my asthma). I have found it so helpful that after I started using it I was able to stop using my asthma inhalers. Last spring I completed my first Triathalon. It is not a quick fix like a prescription medicine, but used consistently over time I believe lavender supports wellness in many ways. Even if it didn't I'd use it for the wonderful smell! The Aura Cacia brand has been good every time I have bought it for over 10 years.

I prefer the smell of this oil to others. Its great for minor skin problems. I add it to my cleaning buckets, make my own carpet and air freshener, its also a fantasic addition to childrens baths before bed.
